take vertical images

Typical camera design makes it easiest and most comfortable to take horizontal pictures, but that doesn’t mean that all images must be created this way. Many subjects lend themselves nicely to a vertical orientation, these include people and other tall subject matter (buildings, trees, waterfalls etc).

Next time you’re taking photographs turn your camera sideways and snap a few extra frames, you might be quite surprised by the results.
