We’ve been busy as bees designing a new blog template that looks great with the rest of our photography site. It’s finally starting to look somewhat like the finished product we have in mind and now we want to know what you think. What new features would you like to see? What can we do to make your experience here better? Rest assured there will be a sidebar added on the right. Share all of your constructive criticism and thoughts in the comment section below.

Monday we mentioned how much fun we had with our recent online survey so now we’re going to start a weekly Friday poll column. Let’s kick things off nice and light and fun this week, we’re wondering how do you like your Friday’s?
Still working on a title for this series, I just came up with Fast Friday Feedback but I’m going to think about it for a week or so yet. Please leave your suggestions for future Friday polls in the comments section below.
Have a fabulous weekend!

We’re up and running on Poppytalk! Have you heard of them? Poppytalk is:
A monthly online street market curated by Poppytalk to showcase, buy and sell handmade goods of emerging design talent from around the world.
Based in Vancouver, where the olympics are currently being held, this month’s theme is “International Arts + Crafts Fair”. So we’ve stocked our page with lots of lovely images from around Ontario and also one or two from Greece.
Pop on over and have a peek at our Poppytalk virtual table, we’d love to hear what you think!

Two Poles by David Fokos
I am honoured to share with you today the work of David Fokos. His image shown above is called Two Poles and was taken in Chilmark, Massachusetts in 2001. David uses long exposures to illustrate what he says “is felt but unoften seen”; referring to the overall calming effect that the ocean truly has, not the tension we feel in the split second we see it full of choppy waves.
I’ve been a fan of David’s work since I began exploring long exposures myself last summer and I was both elated and honoured when he agreed to let me share a glimpse of his work with you. Thanks David!

It definitely looks as though my blogging week has gone awry, but that’s not surprising given that yesterday was a holiday here in Ontario. Our weekly inspiring images feature has been temporarily moved to tomorrow so that I can let you know that Kettle Point #1 will be available in our shop later today. Remember last week when I told you that we were going to play a little game with our new photograph Kettle Point #1? Well, here’s what you need to know:
At 5pm EST today, Tuesday February 16th, 2010, the image Kettle Point #1 will be made available in our shop for the ridiculously low price of $5. Then, when the first print sells the price will go up to $6, when the second print sells the price will raise to $7, and it will continue to increase by $1 for every print sold.
I’m really excited about this, it’s sure to be such fun! Set you clock and stop by our shop tonight!

Thanks to everyone that filled out our getting to know you survey and giveaway! There were so many great responses, we really do appreciate your feedback! Special congratulations to Melanie, of West Seneca, New York who’s chosen to receive Peony #16 as her prize.
We’ve had so much fun hearing your opinion that we’re going to start doing weekly polls on fridays. One question per week a mix of funny and factual, I think it will be a nice way to get ready for the weekend. So be sure to check back!
