Oh August, how I’ve pined for you all year. In honour of warm evenings spent on beaches or August desktop calendar features the small waves and pebbly beach of my recent photograph Secret Song.

        I use the Facebook cover photo and the desktop one on my computer. I like the colors and the layout; it doesn’t make my desktop look busy, which makes it easy to spot any desktop icons I have placed. Overall I either don’t notice it (in a good way) or when I look at it, it just makes me smile. Looking forward to seeing September :)

        Oh also, I like the plain side bars! Again, they allow for some space to put icons or files or whatever (on desktop) such that they are still easy to see and don’t block the image.

        Thanks for such detailed feedback! I’m glad you’re enjoying the images with the sidebars, I’m always hesitant to use vertical images because they don’t fill the screen the way most desktop photographs do.
