Magnolia #3, 8″ x 10″ modern fine art photograph
I’ve just finished my third of four photographs from my Magnolia 2009 series. The soft, delicate petals are just beginning to open – bring these blooms inside and you can practically watch it happen! We have a beautiful, vibrant, magenta magnolia tree in our yard but it doesn’t produce these wonderfully soft saucer flowers. And because of all the shade in our yard the blossoms don’t last nearly as long as those of our neighbours.

I love how the edges of the petals are barely there, so subtle and lovely and filled with light. Very pretty
