November 2012 Desktop Calendar

November 2012 Calendar blog November 2012 Desktop Calendar

October has certainly been a beautiful month! Scattered with sunshiny days and gorgeous orange foliage. Ahhhhh… And the bounty of a great harvest season is filling the farmer’s markets and our fridge. Fantastic! November is almost upon us, a time when I’ll finish putting our yard to bed and preparing our home for winter. I definitely want to bring some bits of nature inside to keep us in good cheer through the winter months. And try to figure out a way to make our house a bit more log cabin chic.

On our blog you can expect to see the last few photographs from my Artist in Residency on Beausoleil Island, what life is like on the island, a review of an iPad photo app, and the strides I’m making to get more sleep.

I know I’m a bit early this month with November’s desktop calendar, but I have it all ready and I can’t resist sharing it with you! So here you go, this month we’re featuring my recent panoramic photograph from Beausoleil Island called Warrior. You can read a bit about the evening we made this image in a recent blog post.

Pre-production – Winter Trees 2012

201201 027 blog Pre production Winter Trees 2012

Winter tree photography season is upon us, at least according to the calendar. So we’ve been busy little bees over here plotting our plan. I printed out maps via Google and taped them together in quadrants surrounding London. As I location scout and photograph the various areas I’ll highlight them to show that they’re done. Now all we need is some snow that will stick around for more than a few days. For now, the maps will live in my camera bag and I’ll continue to photograph seascapes.

What have you done lately to prepare to make new photographs?
