tilt your camera

cervantes 132 tilt your camera

Try tilting your camera, just oh so slightly, to the left or the right to achieve a much more dynamic and interesting image. This works especially well with images of things that are long and narrow, such as the sherry glass and bottle above, a full length photo of a person, or the Eiffel Tower.

Not sure if a camera tilt is going to enhance your images? Take two pictures! One conventionally (straight up and down), and a second with you camera tilted to the side. Experiment! Try this next time you’re snapping photos – you’ll quickly learn if this is a style you like and how much tilt is too much.
