Big, thick, waffles with ice cream and caramel sauce for brunch, what I was thinking I have no idea. Really tasty, but super sweet, I was on a sugar-high for most of the morning. Darren was more sensible, ordering custard. Great fresh fruit drinks again too! If fruit weren’t so expensive here I might start making these at home.
For dinner I had battered kippers that were served with hummus for dipping – brilliant! Somehow I had never thought to dip anything in hummus besides pitas. You must try this! And a nice spaghetti carbonara for Darren.
