Benjamin Moore has released their annual colour trends list and their colour for 2021 is Aegean Teal. And if there’s one thing I know about my photographs, there’s no shortage of greeny-blue.
So I thought it would be fun to put together a collection of Aegean Teal images to celebrate! I was pleasantly surprised that so many of my Banff photographs had a touch of teal! But don’t worry, I’ve got a beach and an abstract that both work wonderfully with too, scroll down to see them all.
First, and one of my favourite pairings, is Reflecting at Lake Louise, both the horizontal and the vertical…
Along with the boathouse just to the left of this spot on the same lake, also in both horizontal and vertical…
That Lake Louise water is just such a beautiful shade of teal, I can’t get enough of it!
There’s a lake right next door to Lake Louise called Moraine Lake and it’s gorgeous! From the right angle the water is an unreal blue and looks like this and this. But I’m pretty in love with this view too, even without that gorgeous water colour…
The Mountains Whispered Good Morning is one of my favourite photographs from the area. Those mountains are just so cozy! And there’s still a hint of teal in the water.
Not far outside the Banff park gates we hiked part way up a mountain where we discovered the quiet spot featured in Echoed Silence.
That tiny little pond is like a mirror! Well a mirror with a tinge of green.
I feel like this has turned into a mini tour of spots to visit in Banff! So let’s round things out with an abstract and a beach.
If abstract art is what makes your soul sing, then there’s Coyote in the Woods…
I can almost see a hint of it in the tips of some of those streaks on the left. But even if it isn’t actually there, I think the colours still look great together.
Lastly, and definitely not least, there’s Spring Shore…
I don’t know what it is about this image, but it works well with almost every shade of soft blue, green, or blue-green. Maybe that’s why it’s so popular?!
You can see more blue, green, and blue-green photographs by using the colour dropdown in the menu. Or if you’re now smitten with my Banff collection you can see more of it here.
