Fresh bouquets of tulips are one of my favorite things to decorate with this time of year. It’s quick and easy and a nice pop of spring after a dark winter. I haven’t gotten mine yet, but I’ve been fantasizing about all these pretty DIY tulip decor projects:
Small Bouquets
As much as I love a big, full bunch of tulips (purple, in case you were wondering), how happy and full of spring energy are these little bud vases? Single brightly coloured blooms in tiny little mismatched vases all clustered together on a tray in the middle of a table. They would be soooo pretty and cheerful on a casual dining table in a bright white room that’s decorated with colorful accents. If that doesn’t welcome spring, I don’t know what does.
There’s lots more tulip arrangement ideas here, though I particularly like this pretty pastel bunch that would look really sweet scattered throughout the living room, dining room, and kitchen.
Tulip Wreaths
If you’re looking for a spring Saturday afternoon project, a tulip door wreath might just be the way to go. You can be as fancy or as simple as you like, while you let your creativity run wild as you relax and have fun making a wreath that perfectly matches the style and color of your home.
Tulip Bulbs
Did you know you can grow tulips from bulbs in water indoors? This isn’t exactly quick or easy, but I definitely think it would be a fun project to watch unfurl and it would be a nice burst of color during those dark winter days. You’ll need a few months to make it happen but if you click over to Homelife you’ll find their tutorial for how to grow tulip bulbs in a vase.
And if you don’t have that kind of time, be sure to scroll down to the bottom of their “how-to” to find out how to get a similar look using potted tulips.
Drooping Tulips?
Though I like how fun and crazy tulips can get when they hang over the sides of the vase, I know that’s probably not your cup of tea. So maybe next time you can try some of these tips to stop tulips from drooping.
Now it’s your turn, do you like decorating with tulips? What’s your go-to tulip color? What’s your favourite DIY tulip decor?
