First Crush, 8″ x 10″ modern gallery wrapped canvas print
Remember my photograph First Crush? Well, I just had an 8×10 inch gallery wrapped canvas print made from it. My flower photograph was first printed on a textured canvas paper and then wrapped around a thick 1 3/4″ thick wooden stretcher bar.
I really like the way the photograph folds around the edges giving the image a bit of dimension. And the texture of the paper gives it a real artistic quality. Best of all, there is no frame required! There’s a saw tooth hanger on the back so it’s ready to hang.
So, what do you think? Is this something you’d be interested in or do you prefer a traditional photographic print?
I think it looks great, Jennifer, and that extra dimension gives it an immediacy that you don’t get with an image behind glass. I suppose it’s one of those things that boils down to individual taste, but I like this format a lot. Also, I’m one of those people who will buy a print and then not frame it for months (or years).
Beautiful!
