Our living room is decorated with neutral furniture – brown sofa, white coffee table, etc – and neutral-ish paint in a soft light grey with a hint of blue. Then I add colour with art and use it to inspire the other accents in the room.
It’s my favourite way to decorate because we can easily swap in different colours for a new look and feel.
For those of you looking for inspiration to add colour to a beige living room with art, here’s some of my favourite images from around the web…
Start with light greige walls, add colourful pink, blue, and gold art, then add a pink candle, blue books, and gold trinkets to the coffee table.

Hang a gallery wall in coordinating colours, then use some of those tones on throw pillows, books, flowers, and a decorative bowl.
The colour of your home decor accents don’t need to be bold either, use simple muted tones to let the art take centre stage.
Matching tones can help spread colour across a room.
And if you’re feeling bold, you can let your artwork inspire your whole room with from upholstery to a painted door.

You can easily add colour to a beige living room with art, then add accent pieces like candles, books, and throw pillows that include tones from your print. And voila! Those little pops of colour will add a major design boost to your living room.
Happy decorating!
