{Ipperwash #1, 16×20 landscape photograph, framed to 20×24 inches}
Last week I dropped off seascape photograph Ipperwash #1 at the London Arts Council for their upcoming Timeraiser auction. And I couldn’t be more pleased with how well it turned out! Kitty loves it too.
I know! Can you believe we still have snow on the ground?! For goodness sakes, please let spring be around the corner…
Back to business. Have you ever heard of a Timeraiser auction? I hadn’t until this opportunity came up. It’s for people who want to do volunteer work but aren’t sure which charities fit with their skills, lifestyles, and what they are hoping to achieve. A bunch of charities set up booths at the Timeraiser auction and potential volunteers can have a chance to talk to them, no strings attached, to see if they’re a good fit. Volunteers then submit a list of agencies they are interested in working with, and then the fun begins! Volunteers get to have a look at a gallery of artwork and use their volunteer hours to bid on pieces via silent auction. A nice little perk to doing some charitable good, don’t you think?
The image I’m holding will be one of the pieces available at the silent auction, Ipperwash #1, edition 1 of 25, framed to 20×24 inches it has a retail value of $735.
So if you’re thinking about doing some volunteer work in the near future be sure to attend:
