I’m sooo excited to share with you my new abstract spring flower photographs next week! I had a lot of fun making them, and I love showing sneak peeks to family and friends and hearing what they see when they look at them.
This year winter was long and cold and I was aching to make beach photographs, but really not interested in standing on the snow covered shore at 7am when it was -5C and windy. I’d been tossing around the idea of making more flower photographs, but I also wanted to experiment with something a bit more abstract with a modern, slightly coastal vibe.
So when my mom came to visit for Easter and brought a bouquet of yellow and red tulips, I figured it was as good a time as any to play. I was thrilled with the result and that’s how last month’s wallpaper came to be. Since then I’ve been experimenting with colour, light, exposure, and technique
, and I’m looking forward to releasing my new images soon.

In the meantime, here’s another little sneak peek, this time as part of June’s wallpaper. I know I’m a bit early this month, but I’ve got a whole list of other things to write about in the coming weeks, so this way you can get your desktops all dolled up early in anticipation.
