Kettle Point #1, work in progress
Monday, November 9th, 2009
Today’s early morning shoot out at Kettle Point went quite well! Up at 4:20 am, out the door by 5 am, and at the location at 6:30 am. The weather was beautiful! Warm and calm! Got a few more shots than I did on my last trip. I had to contend with a street lamp that was near the concretions (those nice rocks out in the water), it didn’t turn off until after sunrise and was casting light out onto the water. Shown in this posting is my hero shot from today, again, an image that I surprisingly prefer in colour as opposed to black and white.
All in all I was back home by 9:30 am. I plan to return again on another morning, I think as the water level goes up and down more or less rocks are exposed so I’ll have to keep my eye on things over there.
Here’s what it took to capture this image:
- 1 late night
- 1 very early morning
- 446 km
- 11 hours
- 46 frames captured
So what do you think?
Beautiful as usual!!
Thank you!
