love and laughter

Darren and I in Springbank Park

What is wrong with me? Why do I feel like a deer in headlights when I’m asked a question? Even one as simple as what are my favourite romantic comedies? I mean there’s no pressure, there’s no right or wrong, the future of the world as we know it is not hinging on my movie selection.

I know it’s girly and I know a lot of people think it’s lame, but I quite enjoy romantic comedies because:

  1. Action, suspense, and thriller movies cause me physical stress, and let me tell you, I do not need any more stress in my life.
  2. Life’s too short for movies that make me cry in sadness. Which can rule a lot of dramas.
  3. I like a good documentary, but if I watch one too close to bedtime my brain starts churning away and sleep does not happen.

Which brings me to comedies.

My Favourite Romantic Comedies

  • So I Married an Axe Murderer
  • Wedding Singer
  • Princess Bride
  • High Fidelity
  • Benny and Joon

Thanks for joining me for this week’s The List Love Book Club! We’re trying to watch more movies so please share with us the titles of your favourite romantic comedies, happy endings only please!

Seriously. These kind of questions stress me out! Which is exactly why this “Listography ritual” is necessary… forcing me to think about and decipher through the tough matters in life.

    Such as romantic comedies. 🙂

(totally adding So I Married an Axe Murder & Benny & Joon to my list… and I need to re-watch High Fidelity! Can’t remember it!)
