The smell of fall is in the air! Have you gone outside and breathed it in? It’s fabulous! And the food this time of year – so wonderfully warming! We’ve been diving into savoury pies, curries, and moussaka stew, and we’re excitedly planning our feasts for the coming season.

With November upon us I’m starting to think about keeping my family warm for the winter. We’ve got one of those draughty old houses that never seem to quite stay as warm as I’d like. We’ve added insulation and we’re slowly replacing the windows but there’s still this ribbon of cool air that very quickly slithers up against your skin.
I feel bad cranking the heat during the day when Darren’s at work and it’s just me in the studio, so I’ve pulled out the wool blanket for at my desk and the winter duvets for the couch and our bed. How lovely it would be to have a fireplace… Or even better – heated floors…
