Your November 2020 wallpaper is ready! And this month it features my popular fall photograph Autumn Ambiance, a maple tree with yellow leaves.

I’m trying a little something different with the desktop version of this month’s wallpaper. It still features a gorgeous photograph and a calendar, but it also has colour coordinated boxes to help you sort your files and folders. There’s a section for:

  • things you need to deal with (To Do)
  • things you’re still using (In Use)
  • things you’re done with that can be put away (File)
  • things you still need to look at (Review)
  • things that don’t fit any other category (Misc)

Last month I teased out this new format, and personally I’ve been using it ever since. I love that it helps me keep on top of all the things on my desktop. Throughout the week my files move from section to section, then every friday I take everything under File and put it all away. Ready to start fresh the next week.

Oh, you’ll also notice there’s no iPad wallpaper this month. I’m not sure how functional they really were because they need to be laid out to work both horizontally and vertically. Plus I’m not sure the calendar was all that useful covered with app icons.

I’d love to hear what you think of this new format! Do you find it helpful? Is it keeping you organized? Is it feeding your addiction to The Home Edit? Which categories do you love or which would you like replaced with a different heading? Do you miss the iPad version? Tell me in the comments so I can make this the best background you could have asked for!
