Lake Erie #11, Peaceful minimalist photograph
Last Tuesday I struggled with creativity, resistance, and motivation. Last Wednesday I forced myself out of bed at 5am to capture my first seascape of the 2011 season. I bombed. I was out of practice. I got there ten minutes too late. My camera wasn’t preset exactly the way I needed it.
The resulting photograph was OK.
Thursday morning the alarm went off at 4:45am. Darren thought I was nuts. But that didn’t stop him from getting up with me and getting me on my way. Colour was just starting to come into the sky when I arrived on the beach an hour and a half later. Such a peaceful, clear, quiet morning. The photograph above is the one that I created Thursday.
I am so lucky to live in such a beautiful place. Thank you.
