santorini fruit juice

We sipped on fruit juices while we waited for our ferry to whisk us away from Santorini to Naxos.  The juices on Santorini were lovely! I’m pretty sure they just take the fruit that you want, put it in a blender to make it a liquid, and then serve it to you in a glass. On the left is honeydew melon and on the right is watermelon, and they tasted just like biting into a piece of fresh fruit. Such a nice way to end our stay on this island! We sat perched in a cafe on the caldera and watched boats go by all morning. The fresh air, the relaxed pace, yummy drinks, a wonderful day indeed!

We got a table right on the edge of the cliff so we could have the best view as our last memory of Santorini. Down below there were three cruise ships parked out in the water and we watched as smaller boats ferried the passengers to shore.  The water there is incredibly deep, something like 400 metres, so boats have to tie onto concrete pillars that come up out of the water. Lots of sailboats touring people around from island to island too, life is good!

On this day last year, we bid a fond farewell to the island of Santorini, Greece. We miss you! xo
