How to Update Your Modern Coastal Decor for Spring

Swapping out art and home decor accessories is the easiest and fastest way to update your home for spring. And if you’re the type of gal who likes to keep your walls white or greige, then adding soft spring color like muted pastel pinks and blues is a must to breathe in those first few hints of beautiful weather.

At our house here’s what I focus on at the beginning of the season:

• always a bouquet of tulips, sometimes flowering branches
• switching to bright, happy throw pillows and table linens, and adding spring colour pillow cases to the beds
• swapping out my white ceramic animals for more seasonally appropriate critters – penguin heads north, rabbit comes out of hibernation
• I love to open all the windows to let in the fresh air, even if it’s only for five minutes, it can make such a difference
