On March 29, 1848 Niagara Falls ran dry!

Oh how quiet it must have been…

Ice built up at the mouth of the Niagara River and water couldn’t get by for 30 whole hours! I bet the silence was eerie.

I can’t even imagine…

I just adore these photographs of Niagara Falls, they’re perfectly minimal with an oh-so-quiet vibe.
