Lake Huron Beach Art Print

On the drive to Lake Huron one October evening the sky was grey and the vibe was drab. Cold. Windy. And not the kind of clouds that turn vibrant, pretty colours as the sun sets.

I arrived to wind so strong it was hard to hold my camera still. It whipped up the waves and was a sure sign the season was shifting from summer to fall.

Cooler weather was blowing in, change was in the air.

Gulls hung low in the sky, hovering in the breeze with seemingly little effort.

The clouds were a dull silver and the water was raging.

As the sun approached the horizon, far to my left, it added warmth to the colourless scene. Kissing the tips of the waves and the underside of the clouds, leaving a tinge of blush across this coastal photograph.

I’m thankful to have been there, and grateful to have spent another irresistible summer on the beach.
